There are so many reasons why I love weddings. The dreamy gowns. The fantastic venues. The music and dancing late into the night.
But more than anything, I love how weddings make you stop. It’s like life comes to a pause, and you realize how powerful love is. Within the chaos of the busy days and the stress of life, the little moments within a wedding day come and give us a breath of fresh air. They remind us to slow down, and look around at those you have in your life. They remind us that life is good!
Emily and Marty’s wedding day was full of these moments. All day, I kept thinking to myself, “These two…they have it figured out.” You could see them just soaking in the day and lavishing in every moment as it came. They’d take these little breaks throughout the day, and peer out onto their guests. They would make eye contact with each other and exchange sweet grins. They knew how great the day was!

These two exchanged notes in the morning – such a sweet idea.
First look!
Love these dresses together!
These make me melt. Their sweetness, and the light pouring on them.
The flower girl carried a balloon down the aisle ahead of Emily. I wish I would have had this idea when I got married!
Favorite.
Their reception decor….It’s ok if you need to pick your jaw up off the floor when you see it. I needed to.
I was drooling over their head table!! Gah, it was amazing!
And the band was fantastic!
Grandma Lucy stole my heart! 99 years old and she gave a toast and danced the night away!
At the end of the night, we took the balloon from the ceremony and let it go as Emily and Marty made a wish together. It was the most fantastic thing ever.
Congratulations, Em & Marty!! I hope you keep finding the little moments in life to soak up the love and joy that surrounds you!
