I first “met” Taryn over the phone when her and Collin were living in Alaska. The girl on the phone was sweet, bubbly, and so excited for her big day. She knew she had found the man, and her excitement to marry him was so evident – even through the phone. Her Evergreen barn wedding – it was going to be fantastic.
When I finally got to meet Taryn face to face, she was no different…greeting me with a big hug, and with such a warm and inviting personality. As she told me the story of her and Collin, I wasn’t surprised when she told me their first date lasted for hours as they laughed together. And their story together – it’s unbelievable.
They’re both adopted.
Both incredibly close to their families. (Taryn even wore her biological mom’s wedding dress!)
Both with huge hearts made of pure gold.
And both absolutely perfect for each other.
These two are going to have an incredible journey together. I just know it.

Taryn’s dad and bridesmaids had the most fantastic reaction to seeing her in her dress for the first time.
Collin’s reaction was equally as incredible.
Perfect look for a bridal party at a barn wedding!
The guys had a little something hiding…
Collin’s dad performed the ceremony. I just love it when the officiant is someone personal – it takes the ceremony to a whole new level.
That blue, blue sky. We got hit with a few drops of rain, but it was worth it for that view!
The inside of the barn….so gorgeous!
Taryn is the first bride I’ve photographed that wore an heirloom dress. I’m such a sentimental sap, I loved seeing Taryn in her “Heaven Mom’s” dress.
The perfect decor. Rustic. Country. But not too over the top.
If my kids ever give me one of these handkerchiefs on their wedding day, I’ll be a huge puddle of tears.
Favorites. Because they are everything these two are about – the laughs and smiles, and the soft, close romance.
Taryn’s biological mom passed away when she was young, and has a place in her heart as her “Heaven Mom”. The night before their wedding, a rainbow appeared for Taryn and Collin, and during their reception, we saw a double rainbow. Taryn’s dad spoke about it during his speech, and I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room. It was so perfect for these two.
I just love this shot my second shooter Heather got of the two dancing!
And a night time shot to end the evening right. 🙂
