About a year and a half ago, Natalie was chatting with me, like we do almost every day. “How was your weekend? Do anything fun?” I rambled on and on about nothing spectacular, for at least 10 minutes. Then, I asked Natalie how her weekend was, and rather than tell he how she worked on her house, or played with her adorable pup, Liberty, she just lifted her left hand and showed me her sparkling engagement ring.

“WHAT???”

“Yup! He did it! I had no idea!”

I’ve seen a lot of smiles on Natalie’s face over the past few years that we’ve been friends together, but that smile was the biggest, ever.

From that day forward, I got to watch Natalie and Phil plan their perfect day – from wedding dress, to venue, to the band, and I was completely humbled when they asked me to be their photographer. Their day couldn’t have gone more perfect! All that hard work definitely paid off 🙂
