Tara + Nate

Filed in: Weddings

My sister is married.

Wait, maybe if I say it a few more times, it will sink in. My sister is married, my sister is married, my sister is married.

Nah, no luck. I think it could take a few years to really have it sink in that she’s no longer a Bolson. It’s just too weird.

Tara’s wedding was only the second time (out of the 130 or so weddings) that I wasn’t the photographer at a wedding I’ve been to – this time I took the job of my sister’s Maid of Honor. (I should really say co-maid of honor, since I knew her good friend Kelly was the “secret maid of honor” 😉 )

I didn’t shoot my sister’s wedding, but I did take some time, in my fancy dress and all, to photograph her and her husband before their ceremony as a part of their First Look. I couldn’t help it. I remember telling Tara, “I don’t want to shoot your wedding, but I am totally claiming 10 minutes where I get to shoot you two together, and then I promise, no more for the rest of the night!”

So I did. These are a few of my favorite shots from their wedding day, and from a day-after shoot I did with Tara.

Love ya, sis, even if you’re not a Bolson anymore.

Her Nate 🙂

Tara and I spent a year and a half planning all the little details for her wedding. The parasols were the perfect touch for photos.

Tara second shoots with me from time to time and always reminds me to get a creative bouquet shot, so I knew she needed one too.

I think this is the look Nate has every time Tara and I are being complete dorks together…

From Tara’s day-after session.

This has to be my absolute favorite.

About 2 minutes after I snapped this photo, Tara grabbed my camera from me to “look at the pictures” and my boyfriend proposed to me. Tara got photos of the entire thing. Now it’s my turn to marry a Nate. 🙂

Love you Tara!! Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs.!! (Although, I’m still not calling you that…)
